Vision and Mission
CABE envisions to becoming a recognized and respected representative and proponent of the prioritized African small enterprizes..Its Mission is to improve the smallholder business and development enterprizes in Kenya with potential to expand to the rest of East African region
Key Successes
  • The founding members have for many years, been involved in the farmer mobilization in Western and Central Kenya.  
  • CABE is one of the few NGO's to conduct a stufy on local agro-seed trading in Western Kenya.  
  • CABE with its local partners successfully conducted a study on constraints in smallholder farmers' return.  
  • CABE conducted interactive dissemination workshops for smallholder farmers, scientists and intermediaries on Bio-technology governance in Kenya.  
  • CABE is Currently establishing community agroforest nurseries in Western Kenya.
Target Groups
Our target groups consists of small holder businesses with limited resources for training and marketing. We can help them improve their earnings and increase the value o f their investments through value addition and market-oriented production(Viz. Small business training, micro-credit and marketing). This includes enganging youths through co-evolution of technological and institutional innovations.

The services planned for the future include seeking sustainable patnerships in the establishment of community-based market information system to gather and share technical, legal and marketintelligence on land-use bio-enterprises and bring the information and linkages to community members and end-users through bulletins, the internet, mobile phone systems, community radions, etc.
Locations and Facilities
Since the mid-2004s, Appropriate Rural Development and Agricultural Programme(ARDAP) in Busia District of Western Kenya has provided temporary office accomodation to CABE. In Nairobi, Biotechnology Trust Africa(BTA) provides office accomodation to CABE
